A short while after the mainstream release of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Time put Pokemon on the cover of its iconic magazine. At the time, things were different and this wasn’t necessarily a good thing as there was potentially some vey damming insights to behold. In the aftershock of first movie, Time questioned whether its influence on the world, particularly children, through video games and trading cards was a good thing. This sort of rhetoric has been a constant buzz in the world of video games in particular for the last 2 decades. Does it influence external behaviours, effect learning etc etc etc we’ve heard it all to often.
Now Pokémon finds themselves back on the cover in 2024 but this time, the publication has nothing but good things to say about the franchise… I wonder why!?
Anyway, it seems it’s all gleaming reviews with a 96 page deep magazine filled with as much Pokemon content as you could imagine!
We’ve decided to recreate these covers as poster prints in various sizes with a choice of the more modern vibe artworks as opposed to the classic versions of Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle & Bulbasaur that Time Magazine chose.
